Registration for 2021 SCVAA K-12th Grade Softball has closed.

To inquire about any possible remaining open roster spots, contact your grade level coordinator or the softball commissioner. Contact information is located on the Softball Commission and Contacts page.   

Please Note: You must enter your athlete's current grade level only. Playing up a grade level is only allowed with prior approval of the Softball Commissioner. Playing up a grade level or more without prior approval may result in removal from a team for the season and forfeiture of any and all registration fees.

Online registration is the preferred method of signing up for VAA Programs and ensures the timing and confirmation of your registration.

Online registration is the only registration method available for late registration.

Registrations received after the registration deadline (March 1st., 2021) will be assessed a late fee of $20

Late Registration will remain open until March 15th. or all roster spots are filled, whichever occurs first. Once a level is full, that level will close.

Late registration players may be placed on a space-available basis on teams with openings on their rosters.

2021 Covid-19 Information as of April 24th., 2021

Please note that the State of Minnesota no longer requires Players to wear face coverings while on the field of play. They will still need to wear them while in the dugout or on the bench if unable to maintain 6' social distancing. Parents, coaches and officials must wear a face covering but only when unable to maintain 6' social distancing.

**New For 2021**

Please note: All players will be now be required to supply their own batting helmet. A regular, one-size fits all child or adult size batting helmet is all that is needed and also please be sure to write your player's name on or inside the helmet.

The SCVAA Softball Program is slow-pitch, recreational softball.

Participation generally consists of 100% girls.

K/1 will meet once per week on Friday Nights with a practice followed by a scrimmage.

2nd  Grade and up teams have one practice and one game per week

8th-10th Grade teams will combine with the NSPAA League

Practice nights will not be known until after the Coaches Meetings in April, TBD

Team rosters will be limited to fourteen players grouped mostly by school on a "first come" basis subject to space and coach availability.

Softball Coaches Equipment Pickup is now on  TBA

Coaches will contact team members after the coaches meeting.

Practices can begin the week of  4/12/2021

Games will begin the week of  5/3/2021

Softball Jamboree / Tournament will be held the weekends of July 11-12 for K-2nd grade, July 17-18 for 3rd grade and up..

What Grade?

When registering for spring-summer sports, please indicate the athlete's current grade.
For example, if the athlete is in third grade when the season starts, he/she should be registered as a third grader.

Late Registrations

Any registrations received after the registration deadline (March 1st) will be assessed a late fee of $20.
Late registration players will be placed on a space-available basis on teams with open rosters.
In the event all team rosters are full, you will receive a full refund.
No late registrations will be accepted after team selection.

Refunds

A service fee of 25% or $20, whichever is less, will be assessed on all refunds.
No refunds will be authorized after the Coaches' Meeting in April
