Congratulations to Scripps Ranch Intermediate
WESTERN REGION CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!

Please consider showing your support by donating at the team's GoFundMe page and help offset the costs of their trip.  Thank you in advance for your support!

Every story has an ending. Some are surprising. Some are happy. Some are bittersweet.

No one who was following the Scripps Ranch Intermediate story wanted it to end this evening... and so it won't!

Yes, there is the disappointment of losing 7-2 to a scrappy team from Livermore, and being eliminated from contention for the World Championship title.

But these boys and coaches deserve a chance to celebrate, and that's just what they're going to get. Thursday at noon they get an opportunity that no other District 32 team has ever had, and that is the chance to play against an International team in an official Little League game, when they match up with a team from Brno, Czech Republic in a consolation game.

Friday, all of the World Series teams and coaches are off to watch an Oakland A's game. Saturday our boys will get to witness first hand the U.S. Championship, and on Sunday the World Championship. Yes, they would prefer to be playing in both those games, but over the next few days they are going to get the chance to meet kids from Puerto Rico, Australia, Mexico, South Korea, Canada, and from all over the United States.

Then, they are going to come home. After a journey that started on June 10th, they will finally have some time off and a chance to reconnect with their friends and families. But all of us who have had the privilege to follow this team, and see first-hand the talent, the sportsmanship, the camaraderie, and the love of the game, will never forget the 7-week ride they gave us.

To all of the players, coaches and parents of the Scripps Ranch Intermediate team, heartfelt thanks and congratulations from everyone in District 32. We can't wait to come to any celebration that is thrown for you!

- Lisa LaPage, District 32

Scripps Ranch Little League is a baseball organization for children of league age 4 to 16 who live in the 92131 zip code. We have a Spring and a Fall season. Registration for the Spring season starts in November and evaluations (tryouts) for MAPs through Juniors divisions are held in January. Teams are chosen at the end of January, and practices start in February. Games are played from early March through early-to-mid June. Our Seniors (ages 14-16) and Big League (ages 17-18) divisions have assessments and team creation in May. Scripps Ranch also has a Challenger Division for children between league ages 4-18 with physical and mental disabilities.
