Do you plan on scheduling games on July 4th or during the following weekend?

Weather providing, we will not have games scheduled from Saturday, July 4th through Sunday, July 5th for the holiday.

When does the season typically end?

Games may go into the middle of July, so please plan your vacations after that.

What do we do in the case of inclement weather?

In the event of inclement weather, watch for a message from your team manager or representative.  Also check for special alerts on the website.  If there is no communication to indicate otherwise, assume that no decision has been made to cancel your game and proceed to the fields.   If inclement conditions persist, a board member acting as “Director on Duty”  will usually determine the playability of the fields by 5:30 PM on weekdays and ½ hour before the first game on Saturdays. This decision will be announced at the fields.   During periods of wet weather try to make arrangements to have someone from your team get to the fields early to work the diamonds and possibly save you from a RAIN OUT!

Can we make a request to have our child play with specific player and/or team?

We try to honor request until the kids are in AAA.  However, we can’t always guarantee it.  For instance, if too many kids request to play together, then it becomes impossible to accommodate all of them.  Or it may be best for league balance (parity) at that level.

Can a child that is not completely registered in the Mathewson McCarthy Baseball League practice with or play on our team?

No.  An unregistered child may not be covered by insurance in the event of an accident involving that child.   Even if that unregistered child is your younger child, a visiting nephew or niece, or your next door neighbor’s child, please do not let them practice or play with your team.
