WELCOME TO PEARL RIVER LITTLE LEAGUE

THE PEARL RIVER LITTLE LEAGUE is based in Pearl River (Rockland County), New York, and is a member league of New York District 18 of Little League, Inc.  PRLL features baseball and softball programs for boys and girls age 4 to 12 (with senior leagues to age 16 if sufficient demand).  PRLL was founded in 1953 and was incorporated and began play in 1954.

DODGERS TAKE MAJOR BOYS TITLE, 3-2, OVER YANKEES

June 15, 2019:  In the second and final game of the Major Boys Championship Series, the Dodgers edged the Yankees, 3-2, to win the Championship of the PRLL Major Boys Division.  Much like Game 1, the pitching on both sides was stellar, but the Dodgers rallied from a 2-1 deficit with two runs in the fourth inning for the winning margin, with the bullpen doing the rest of the work.   See Game & Trophy Photos.

In Game 1 of the Championship Series on Thursday, the Yankees and Dodgers had matched up in a 9-inning pitching duel.  With the score tied at 1-1 after 8 innings, the Yankees, with three extra base hits, scored 3 times to win, 4-1, to force this deciding game.  See Photos of game (link).

AAA PIRATES SHOCK CONGERS IN MacROBBIE OPENER

Sat., June 15, 2019:   The Pirates, Champions of PRLL's AAA Division, traveled to Nanuet Little League's fields in Lake Nanuet to take on minor league champions of other Rockland County Little Leagues in the annual Michael MacRobbie Memorial Tournament.  In their first game today, against Congers, the team fell behind, 8-4, in the third inning, but chipped away with two runs in the fourth inning and two in the fifth to tie the game.  The excitement, however, faded as Congers struck for four runs in the bottom fifth to lead 12-8.  The Pirates did not give up, and rained hits in the top of the sixth to not only tie the game but take a 13-12 lead, with Terrance Loughlin driving in the tying and go-ahead runs.  The Pirates then brought in their closer, Luke DiFabio, who got two quick outs via strikeout before a bloop hit put a man on.  A second hit set the wheels in motion, with the Congers baserunner trying to come in to score, but a great defensive play by the Pirates (CF Freddy Palumbo to 3B Cole Feshal to C Liam Walsh) cut the runner down at the plate for the third and final out to set off a wild celebration. The team plays again on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. against either Nanuet or Haverstraw.     See Game Photos Here.

PARKING

The 2019 PRLL Parking Policy will remain the same - All PRLL families must park at the Verizon Wireless lot.  Use this link for further information.

The construction of senior residential premises adjacent to Anderson Field and the renovation of the parking area does NOT change our parking policy.  PRLL remains a tenant of the American Legion, and must follow its directions with respect to traffic flow and parking.  We will have more room for handicapped parking, kitchen workers, umpires, etc. but we are unable to pemit general parking by the terms of our Lease.

Your parking pass should be affixed to the back side (facing out) of your rear view mirror.  This is how the guard at the Verizon lot will identify you and your vehicle as PRLL and allow you to access the Verizon lot.  (see PRLL website for more information on how to get to the Verizon lot if you are not familiar.)  Please remember to follow the traffic rules in the parking lot and to park only in the areas desinated for PRLL.  DO NOT park in Verizon designated areas as your car my be towed.  EVERYONE (with the exception of those with handicapped parking placards, certain board members and senior citizens coming to watch games) must park at Verizon - parking anywhere else without proper permits may result in your car being towed.  (Note: PRLL has no control over a decision by either Verizon Wireless or our landlord, the American Legion, to have a vehicle towed - such a decision cannot be overruled by the PRLL Director on Duty or any other PRLL official).

SAFETY NOTE:  All children must remain on the PRLL property whenever they are at the Anderson complex and cannot play on Verizon property, or on the property of the new residential premises adjacent to the fields.  Please do not leave your children unattended at the fields. Any children who are found playing on Verizon property will have their parent/guardian contacted and be asked to leave the facility.

If your shopping list includes a baseball bat for your Little Leaguer, be sure you buy a qualified bat that is eligible to be used in Little League play.  Go to the official Little League website, at https://www.littleleague.org/playing-rules/bat-information/ , for the information you need before buying a baseball bat.
