London Junior Mustangs Football Club Code of Conduct
When representing our organization or participating in Club activities, the highest standards of conduct and behaviour are therefore expected at all times, including when players are not on the field.
A London Junior Mustang athlete will conduct him or herself in a manner that shows respect for teammates, opponents, referees, coaches, fans, property and the game of football. Appropriate behaviour is expected in the locker room, in the parking lot, on the bus, on the field, hanging out with other athletes, in the stands or any time you are representing our organization.
The London Junior Mustangs Football Club Code of Conduct can be summed up in two short phrases:
RESPECT for others. RESPECT for self.©
Respect for others
Players, you will show respect for others by choosing to:
- NOT chirp your teammates, coaches, refs and fans;
- You will NEVER participate, initiate or allow any form of hazing. Hazing means forcing someone to perform humiliating or dangerous acts;
- At no time and not in any condition will you bully or intimidate your teammates verbally, physically, electronically or by any other means of communication; that also means foul and offensive language will not be tolerated;
- You will NEVER participate, initiate or allow any form of property destruction and stealing or behave in a way that would be considered criminal activity.
Respect for self
When representing our Club or involved in any Club activity, players will show respect for themselves by:
- Never using alcohol, narcotics or other drugs that are not prescribed by a doctor;
- Never using tobacco in any form whatsoever (i.e. no smoking or chewing tobacco);
- Attending every practice and game and informing the coach in advance of any absence;
- Giving support and showing respect to teammates and coaches;
- Emphasizing academics and family over athletics.
Parents
Parents, we expect you to serve as positive role models to our children and youth. Do your best to be a positive influence in the way you behave, talk, listen and the way you problem solve.
Resolve conflicts by demonstrating support for all players, coaches, officials and spectators at every game, practice or other LJMFC event. Help find a solution.
Consequences
If any athlete, parent/guardian or guest chooses to behave in any negative manner, s/he may be suspended or expelled from the London Junior Mustangs Football Club with or without warning from the President. The decision to suspend an athlete or fan is at the sole discretion of the President. There is no appeal process. The offenders will be notified by email or a phone call.
Players who are suspended or expelled from the London Junior Mustangs Football Club are not entitled to a refund. Suspended and/or expelled players' families or guardians are not entitled to a refund either.
