Minisink Valley Little League has kept all registration fees the same from the Spring of 2016 except we have lowered the T Ball registration fee to $75.

MVLL has launced a Play Up Initiative for the Spring 2017 Season.

MVLL will be offering free baseball/softball instruction/clinics at the MV Intermediate School Monday Nights in December 2016, January 2017 and February 2017 for players that register

ELIGIBILITY

All children ages 5-16 residing or attending school in Minisink Valley Little League’s territory are eligible to play. Age and residence eligibility are determined as follows:

Age

Little League Baseball is open to children ages 5 to 16. Age is determined as follows:

  • For players born on or before August 31, 2005: Age determined by the player’s age on April 30, 2017.
  • For players born on or after September 1, 2005: Age determined by the player’s age on August 31, 2017

Little League Softball is open to Girls Ages 6 to 16. Age determined by the player’s age on December 31, 2016.

T-Ball Division. T-Ball is considered baseball and player’s age is determined per the baseball rules set forth above. All league age 5-year-olds and new league 6-year-old players will be placed in the T-Ball Division. Players who are league age 6 and played in MVLL’s T-Ball Division in 2016 will be placed in the Minor Boys or Minor Girls Divisions.

 

Residence

Anyone who resides in the towns of Minisink, Wawayanda or Greenville is eligible to participate in Minisink Valley Little League.

In addition, regardless of residence, all students age 5-16 who attend school at Minisink Valley Elementary, Minisink Valley Intermediate, Minisink Valley Middle, or Minisink Valley High Schools are eligible to participate in Minisink Valley Little League.

New Registrants

All first time registrants may complete their registration on-line but the player will not be fully registered until Minisink Valley Little League receives a copy of the player’s birth certificate, 2 proofs of residency, and payment of the registration fee. Acceptable proofs of residency include copies of utility bills, tax bills, bank statement, school records, driver’s license, insurance records. All proofs of residency must include your physical address.

If we have a birth certificate and proofs of residency on file from a prior year there is no need to provide additional copies.

Beginning with the upcoming Spring Season Minisink Valley Little League is introducing the “Division Play-Up Program”. It is a chance for selected registered players to Try Out for the next level of play.

The players eligible to choose this option in the online registration are:
• Minor Boys/Minor Girls with a league age of 8. These players can choose to try out for the respective 9-10 Division
• 9-10 Boys /9-10 Girls with the league age of 10. These players can choose to try out for the respective Majors Division.
• Any player with the League Age of 12 or 13 can try out for our Intermediate (50/70) team.

This bump is based on 2 Criteria
1. The need for additional players in the next division.
2. The result of your Child’s official try out. Place and time will be determined once registration Is closed.

MEDICAL RELEASE FORMS

 

All players must submit a Medical Release Form before taking the field. NO EXCEPTIONS. This form must be filled out every year even if you submitted one in previous years.

 

REGISTRATION FEES

 

  • T-Ball - $75 per player
  • All other Baseball and Softball Divisions - $150.00 per player if registered before January 21, 2017. $200.00 per player if registered January 21, 2017 or later
  • A $30.00 Service charge will be assessed on all returned checks

Once a child has been placed on a team there will be no refunds of registration fees

A player’s registration will not be considered complete until payment is received

 

VOLUNTEERS

 

Adults wishing to volunteer as a Manager, Coach, Team Parent, or in any other capacity must apply on-line, complete the appropriate Volunteer Application and attach a copy of your driver’s license. These forms may be printed from MVLL’s website and should be sent to: Minisink Valley Little League, P.O. Box 283, Slate Hill, NY 10973.

 

All volunteer applicants must pass a background check before being approved.

 

All coaching appointments are for one year and subject to approval by the Minisink Valley Little League Board of Directors.

Once rosters are full players will be placed on a wait list
