The Colonnade - 18 One Stop Tile - 8

" In a game that featured a flip-flop in the 7th inning, The Colonnade defeated One Stop Tile by a score of 18-8. The offensive highlights for The Colonnade saw Jon Chlebeck going 5 for 5 with 5 doubles, 4 runs scored and 4 RBIs. Other offensive contributors were Pete Simoneau going 4 for 5 with 5 RBIs and Jim Opyd, Ray Gibson, Randy Selin and Charles Greer (sub) with 3 hits each. The Colonnade played great team defense. One of the defensive highlights was Randy Selin throwing the batter out at first base from left field. Thanks to Charles Greer for the second game of sub duty for The Colonnade."

For the first four innings we had a tight game with Colonnade.  Then our bats went cold and we could not keep pace with the strong hitting Colonnade team.  Still, we had some good individual performances with Kary Kuhlman went 3 for 4 batting, Don Cole was 4 for 4,  and Glenn Turner was 3 for 4.  Glenn made some outstanding defensive stops at short stop while Jocelyne George was a super-sub at outfield that stopped numerous hard hit balls.  Thanks to everyone for a fun day at the ballpark.  We will continue to improve.  Thanks to Susie Tornes for keeping our scorebook for us.

Tride/True Pest Mgmt - 14 Exclusive Imports Auto - 13

For the second consecutive game of the Fall Saturday season, Tride and True started with more than just a little intrigue. After the first 2 full innings, the mechanics were on top of the pest controllers 8 - 0. However, going into the third, our defense settled in and kept the game interesting until the end by holding the mechanics to a total of 5 runs for the remaining 5 innings. Our RBIs were pretty evenly spread over the lineup, and congrats to Dick Steiman who led the way, posting 4 RBIs! Thanks to Chris Espejo for subbing, as well as Kathy Melton and Cathy Radant for keeping our scorebook. Also, thanks to umpires David Bagwell, Gerry Boesche, and scoreboard operator Mike Mcginn.
