Baseball Clinic - May 1, 2011
On Sunday, May 1st, in between raindrops, a baseball clinic was put on for the Challenger Baseball league by Tommy Kreutzer, a member of the Challenger League. With the assistance of friends and family, Tommy organized the clinic consisting of proper bat selection, catching techniques, a running drill and batting practice. And, as an added bonus, Tommy arranged for Pirates shirts to be distributed to all the participants.
Tommy is in the 10th grade at North Hills Sr. High School. This was a school project that had to be complete this week for his “Leadership” class; therefore, we were unable to reschedule for better weather.
Despite the rain, the clinic was a great success. So much so that perhaps Tommy has started a new tradition for Challenger Baseball.
